Something About Dixie In Fort Worth Texas

A while ago my husband and I were looking for an American restaurant near me. I had a long night shift at work and we were ready to order some food. Dixie was the only place on the bus route that we knew was open this early in the morning. We chose to go to that restaurant. So why did we walk out.

Customer service and rapport is important in the restaurant business. My husband and I should know we have both been in the industry for about twenty years. Sometimes too much customer service can be a problem. When a person is unable to read the menu or start a conversation without being interrupted then staff becomes a problem.

Perhaps that is the way Dixie is run as a business. Maybe the servers per table is because it was Sunday. Maybe we were not the right clients for that type of restaurant. The fact that when a client sits down at a restaurant they should not feel hurried to order. They should be able to take a sip of their coffee and quietly look at the menu. When asked to be left alone for a minute they should not be told “We help every staff member out”

After being interrupted five times in ten minutes, my husband got up and walked out the door. My husband overheard the management say “What happened to them?” when he was told what happened his response was “Oh well there will be others.”

Thank you Dixie for your response of not caring for your restaurant customers. We will gladly spend our money elsewhere. We’re glad we did because we found Kolachi’s just down the street. Of course this is not a restaraunt review for all of the Dixie house cafes. I personally look forward to doing restaurant reviews for all of the Dixie House Cafes.

Eating at Greek Pasta & Pizza

Stuck at the hospital wondering where there was good food near me. McDonalds for burgers? The Fort Worth JPS hospital cafeteria? The food truck located in the hospital parking lot? Nothing looked good until I found this Greek restaurant near me.

Since then my room-mates and co-workers have tried many different things from Greek Pizza & Pasta. (817) 922-8100. This restaurant is located at 1701 Galveston Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76110We thought we would give you a run down on their menu. Think of it as a good, bad, and ugly of a foodie. So how did this Greek restaurant hold up.

In truth only a few of their items are actually of Greek origin. The rest is a typical pizza and pasta restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas. The place does have some decent pricing that will compete with the local pizza restaurant near me.

The Pizza at this Greek restaurant is decent. This place has the typical pizza fare but also offers items like Philly steak pizza, Mexican pizza, and a light pizza that has a ton of fresh Italian items.

The calzones and Sandwiches at this place are a little skimpy on the meat and boring. A person ends up buying a bunch of bread and cheese for the six dollar fee. What else is bad at Greek Pasta & Pizza? The grape leaves seem to out of a container and not cooked well enough. They tended to leave a bad aftertaste in the mouth. The garlic bread is also a little boring.

Now for the yummy items at this Greek restaurant near me, yes lets discuss those. Definitely try  The garlic parmesan wings, The Gyro with extra meat, the gyro salad, the baklava and the tiramisu.

If you’re looking for a nice fresh Cannoli then pass this place up. They taste like they were defrosted from the freezer. Greek Pizza and Pasta is a hit and miss restaurant near me. I’m looking forward to eating my favorites and trying the pasta.
