Does Care.com really care?

I'm still looking for ways to make money online. I would like to have something set up that would give my income a little bonus when I'm ready to retire. Of course I won't be retiring for another 30 years but I still want to make money online.

One of the companies that I tried working with is Care.com. In  search of a part-time job or a place to make residual income, you might come across the website. A place where a person looking for a job can post their resume for positions like childcare, elderly care, pet care and more. After filling out the information at care.com the website requested that a background report be purchased and requires the applicant to purchase tokens.

As an applicant myself, a background check is understandable a person that is seeking to post a job opportunity on care.com is opening their home and things that are valuable to them. Care.com  is smart for wanting to protect their clients. Does the company care that the applicant obtains a job?

Absolutely not! Their focus is on the client and making a profit of people who need the extra work. Is care.com doing a disservice to clients and applicants alike? Yes! Honestly the company is not doing what the concept of the business is suppose to do.

Care.com is not connecting unique qualified caretakers to their clients. They would rather give job offers to people who have the money to purchase token to apply for a job offer.  Having to pay someone upfront to obtain a job is absurd. Then to pay care.com a percentage of the fee you earn afterwards is crazy.

Take this as a warning Job and career seekers. A background check is understandable especially when dealing with things of value. An applicant should never have to pay to obtain work.
