Help me Jesus he won't keep his word

Our family has been frustrated lately. A relationship is not working out well. No one
likes to be used or walked over. It just seems like our room-mate.
As a Christian, I opened my home to someone that I thought was dedicated and hard working.
He agreed that he would help out with remodeling the house in exchange for a roof over his head,
food, and free laundry. It doesn’t seem like the man wants to keep his part of the agreement.

Our family has giving him clothing, food, and all the extras of living in a house.
We have literally treated him like family. He has called us family. Yet we do not
feel like family. He stays in his room and plays video games. In the three months that he
has been here he has only offered to pay one bill.

I don’t write this to complain. I know that my God is great and will provide the things that
our family needs. I really want to use this message to teach the world a universal message.
That message is that actions speak louder than words. God word says

” It is a trap to dedicate something rashly and only later to consider one’s vows.”

This man said that he was going to work yet he has caused us to go into a slight amount of poverty. Have you said you were going to say something and didn’t do it. How do you think it affected your relationship with the person you said it to? Do you think they are going to trust your word again?

Saying something and not doing it just puts a wedge in a relationship. If a person does it enough times then it may crack open the relationship completely. So remember that in a relationship sometimes actions speak louder than words and be sure to keep your word.
